Bronchoscopy Suite
Diagnostic and therapeutic Bronchoscopy procedures are performed in a dedicated Bronchoscopy suite with Video Bronchoscope.
Advanced Bronchoscopy techniques like foreign body removal, Transbronchial lymph node aspiration, Bronchial stents, Electrocautery for Endobronchial lesions, Endobronchial brachytherapy are also offered.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center
Specially trained respiratory physiotherapists are available for rehabilitation of patients with chronic and obstructive pulmonary disease and other chronic lung conditions.
Sleep Lab
The Department is equipped with a state-of-the-art sleep lab, which helps in the diagnosis of all types of sleep breathing disorders including sleep apnea, snoring, narcolepsy, etc.
Respiratory Intensive Care Unit
For management of critical patients with respiratory failure, a fully equipped respiratory ICU is available with the most advanced ventilators and Bipap Machines. The Department is supported by trained respiratory nurses, physiotherapists and technicians.
Lung Transplant Programme
To add to the existing and successful heart transplant programme at Frontier Lifeline, the department of Pulmonology is teaming up for starting a Lung Transplant Programme for patients with end stage lung diseases like IPF, COPD, PAH etc. The cardio-thoracic surgeons also offer surgical services for lung diseases.
Dr. K.H. Kisku, MD(JIPMER), FCCP(USA) , is in charge of the Pulmonology unit at Frontier Lifeline Hospitals. He did his UG and PG studies at JIPMER, Pondicherry and subsequently worked there as a senior resident. He was the Chief Pulmonologist at the Pondicherry institute of Medical Sciences and MIOT hospitals for many years. His areas of interest are Obstructive airway diseases, and Sleep breathing disorders. He has joined Frontier Lifeline with a keen interest to be part of the Lung Transplant team.
