Frontier Lifeline includes
tertiary super specialty cardiac care center
in a rural set up as the first in India
or anywhere in the world in its network.
This 35-bedded center comprises of well
-equipped operation theatres with ICU, a
non-invasive lab, a 10-bedded CCU with invasive
monitoring facilities, state-of-the-art
Cath lab, Electrophysiology lab and Enhanced
External Counter Pulsation facilities. The
Center has also been drawing international
clientele from inception and has conducted
numerous cardiac surgeries including several
Pediatric cardiac surgeries. Esteemed
cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists
from different parts of the world like USA,
New Zealand, Sweden and
Lithuania visit the hospital regularly
to perform surgeries. It has the unique
honour of being visited by His Excellency,
the President of India, when he inaugurated
the Rural Telemedicine Facility and International
Pediatric Cardiac Services and was further
mentioned by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul
Kalam in the 57th Republic Day
address to the nation as an exemplary initiative
of his vision for PURA (Provide Urban Resources
to Rural Areas).

St. Joseph’s Hospital
at Santhapet, Nellore, is a centrally located
landmark with 70 beds. This multi-specialty
hospital boasts of a reputable Operation
Theatre facility and has been catering to
the general public in and around the Vijayawada
area for the past few decades. St Joseph’s
also conducts a ‘Diploma in Nursing’
course and has recently been approved for
the B. Sc. in the Nursing course as well.
Frontier Lifeline has been
conducting regular adult and Paediatric
cardiology clinics at St. Joseph’s
Hospital and has held cardiac screening
camps as well as CME programs on a regular
basis. On Sunday, the 15th of October, 2006,
Shri Anam Vivekananda Reddy, MLA inaugurated
a state-of-the-art, fully equipped, 5-bed
Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICCU) at this
centre in the presence of Rev. Dr.
P.C. Bala Swamy, Bishop of Nellore
and Smt. Banusri, Regional
Coordinator for Women Development &
Child Welfare and our team of doctors.
The inauguration of the
ICCU was structured as a precedent to the
launch of a fully-fledged Cardiology Department
involving Inpatient and Outpatient services
with investigations including ECG, X-ray,
Echocardiography, Treadmill test, etc.,
as well as Telemedicine facilities which
will be linked to the Frontier Telemedicine
Center Network. This will enable patients
in Nellore to get direct advice from specialists
at Chennai.
Giving an all-round care
not only to the patients, Frontier Lifeline
has made available facilities for patient
attendants with a caring motto ‘Catering
to the needs of Patient Attendants’.
