| Giving an all-round
care not only to the patients, Frontier
Lifeline has made available facilities for
patient attendants with a caring motto ‘Catering
to the needs of Patient Attendants’
with:
The support services are
exclusive and unique and showcase an entire
spectrum of facilities such as the Nutrition
& Dietetics Department with region-specific
chefs to cater to international patients.
Encompassing all the health avenues with
great detail, the hospital has incorporated
sensitive areas with Pastoral/Spiritual
care and Medical Social Workers to take
care of the mental and psychological needs
of the patients. The Electronic Data Processing
Department, the Medical Records Department
and the Blood Bank round off a competent
and capable in-depth structure of the hospital.
With a view to offering
holistic healthcare, Frontier Lifeline offers
the services of the healing and soothing
Sanjeevanam Ayurvedic Center close by. Comfortable
guest houses are available and lend a homely
atmosphere, giving the attendants of the
patients a calm ambience to relax in.
Social Services Department
Since its inception, Frontier
Lifeline has been providing free and subsidized
cardiac screening and treatment to the economically
underprivileged sector of our society. Our
Social Services Department streamlines the
process of granting financial concessions.
The department evaluates patients who require
or request for concessions in their treatment
packages, both as outpatients and inpatients.
These patients are not only those who walk
in but also those referred from other Institutions
and doctors.
We have a strong and recognized tradition
in extending all our services to the poor
and needy. We are active participants in
several government motivated schemes for
poor patients to perform complex cardiac
surgery at concessional rates; namely the
‘Idhayam Kaapom’ project launched
by the Tamilnadu Government. Children referred
by the Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh Government
also benefit from the quality cardiac care
offered at concessional rates.
Our social service takes
on an international flavor as we regularly
offer concessions in the surgical charges
of adults and children from other countries
such as South American, Middle Eastern and
African Countries.

Pre-operative
Client Education & Consultation
Frontier Lifeline offers
Pre-operative Client Education & Consultation
as a vital support service to patients and
their families. These regular pre-operation
interactive sessions for clients who are
waiting to undergo cardiac surgery, are
conducted using visual aids depicting 3-D
animated surgical procedures. Anatomy, physiology
and various congenital heart defects etc.
are explained to the clients in their regional
language. During these sessions, a detailed
talk is delivered by Clinical Co-ordinators
and experienced Physician Assistants about
what happens before, during and after surgery.
This not only helps the client and the family
to recover from their fears and insecurities
about heart disease, it also prepares and
moulds the patient to face the surgery and
its related risks.
Pre-op Consultations are regularly conducted
between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.
This service has been imparted to surgical
and interventional clients from 2005 onwards
and has enhanced our expertise in making
procedures transparent and creating awareness
to the clients.
“Healing Ministry” is by word
of mouth; the confidence that the clients
develop promotes quicker healing and relieves
the entire family of tension – that
signifies the success of our efforts.
